His Majesty The King announced his 2025 New Year Honours list marking the extraordinary contributions and service of people across the UK.
We are delighted that two Fellows of the 免费黑料网 have been recognised for their significant contributions:
RCPsych Honorary Fellow, Stephen Fry, has been appointed a Knight Bachelor, a prestigious honour awarded in recognition for his services to Mental Health Awareness, the Environment and to Charity. Sir Stephen is one of Britain's most highly regarded public figures. He has campaigned tirelessly to raise awareness and encourage conversations about mental health. In particular, he has devoted much time and effort in generating awareness of bipolar disorder, using his public platform to speak candidly about his own journey, undermining the taboo that has prevented many from seeking support. Sir Stephen is also President of Mind and Vice-President of Fauna & Flora International.
RCPsych Fellow, Dr Joan Rutherford, an honorary consultant psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Chief Medical Member, Health Education and Social Care Chamber (Mental Health), First Tier Tribunal. Dr Rutherford has been awarded an Officers of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) for her services to the Administration of Justice.
Dr Lade Smith CBE, President of the 免费黑料网, said:
"We are incredibly proud of our Fellows, Sir Stephen and Dr Rutherford, who have been recognised in this year's New Year Honours.
