We are delighted to commission an original artwork by Welsh artist, Rhiannon Roberts, to celebrate the 20^th anniversary of RCPsych in Wales.

After graduating with a degree in Psychology from Cardiff University in June 2010, Rhiannon decided to build a career for herself as a self-taught artist, working from her studio in Ciliau Aeron, near Aberaeron.

Now living in Cardiff Bay, Rhiannon sells her original artwork all over the world and uses her designs to produce various products such as cards, coasters, placemats, prints and lots more.

Drawing on her vivid imagination and vibrant colours, Rhiannon is renowned for painting with a fresh and modern twist, and her colourful designs characterfully capture the landscape and vibrancy of modern Wales.

We are excited that Rhiannon has accepted our invitation to produce a commemorative art piece to mark 20 years of RCPsych in Wales. As well as drawing on College symbolism, the commission will give prominence to the Welsh language and take inspiration from right across Wales.

We look forward to its unveiling at a celebratory event at this year's RCPsych International Congress on Tuesday 24 June at 6.30-7.45pm (further information to follow). A limited number of prints will be made available for purchase.

We have also worked with Rhiannon to develop unique lanyards featuring Welsh landmarks and symbols. These will be available free of charge to RCPsych in Wales members at Congress. We look forward to welcoming you to Casnewydd/Newport!
