Event Information

The Faculty of General Adult Psychiatry Annual Conference 2025 will be held in-person on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 October at The Edwardian Hotel, Manchester. This year’s programme offers a rich and diverse agenda addressing some of the most pressing challenges and innovations in general adult mental health care. With keynotes from national leaders, parallel sessions exploring cutting-edge clinical practices, and interactive panels highlighting lived experience, this conference promises to be an engaging and inspiring event for all mental health professionals.

Why you should attend:

  • Stay ahead of emerging trends in psychiatric care, including novel treatments, relational prescribing, and embodied approaches.
  • Network with national leaders and peers across disciplines in a dynamic in-person setting.
  • Engage in practical learning from frontline innovations in inpatient care, community transformation, and complex case management.
  • Celebrate contributions to the field through awards, poster presentations, and social events.

By attending this conference, delegates will be able to:

  • Critically explore how to reduce stigma and enhance care for people with personality disorders.
  • Examine innovative approaches to inpatient care and identify realistic strategies for improvement.
  • Understand the role of psychological therapies and embodied practices in adult psychiatry.
  • Evaluate the integration of physical and mental health care, particularly in severe mental illness.
  • Reflect on the evolving landscape of community mental health, including neighborhood team models.
  • Discuss strategies to enhance service provision for individuals with Autism and ADHD.

The Royal College of Psychiatrists' Faculty of General Adult Psychiatry is inviting poster submissions for their hybrid conference on Thursday 16 - Friday 17 October 2025. All submissions will be reviewed ahead of the conference and successful authors will then be invited to display their work as a online poster at the conference (three submissions will also be chosen for rapid-fire oral poster presentations).

. Please view the faculty webpage for further details on the prizes available.

The deadline for submissions is 5pm, Wednesday 30 July 2025.
