CAPSS 15-year anniversary symposium

Event Information

Since 2009 the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Surveillance System has facilitated epidemiological research into rare childhood mental health disorders and events.

In 2025 we are celebrating our work with a special anniversary report and symposium. The programme will include presentations from some of the research teams that have made use of CAPSS on the impact of their findings. There will also be talks from young people and support organisations. So, whether you’re a clinician, researcher, patient group representative, industry or healthcare provider, you will find something to stimulate and interest you.

We're welcoming a range of attendees to this event, which may be of particular interest to those in the field of rare psychiatric conditions in children and young people, child and adolescent psychiatry, paediatrics or epidemiological research, service delivery and advocacy, including:

  • consultant and trainee child and adolescent psychiatrists
  • foundation year doctors, medical students, and nurses
  • paediatricians
  • academic psychiatrists
  • epidemiologists and researchers
  • public health professionals
  • patient advocacy groups
  • corporate and charities.

Please note this event is now fully booked.
